My Fountain pen origin story.

While listening to an old podcast: The Bent Tines, the hosts, Katherine and Mathew, typically asked their guests about their origin story or how they got into fountain pens? My story isn't dissimilar to many people I've talked to or heard about, but I think for my mind, I need to spill it here.  Sugar Creek Art Show March, 2019 It was March 2020. Do you remember where you were when the world started to shut down? I do. I was at my school where I teach elementary art, preparing for our annual Spring art show. During this show, I hang several hundred student art pieces for family and community members to look at. When we got the news, we had to leave immediately and start teaching virtually the next day. It was a crazy time. But it was the main reason I discovered fountain pens.   I have Attention Deficit Disorder. One of my things was to find new ways to organize my life. Hello and welcome to the clogged feed.

 This blog will serve two purposes for me. First, one of my themes this year was to write more. I have written many things: equipment and accessory reviews for the PalmAddict (a now-defunct website dedicated to the Palm handheld organizer), Articles for Art education magazines, and chapters for books. I have recently abandoned the process and am having difficulty getting back into the flow. Second, my mind is full (clogged). As an adult who suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder, I need to put some random thoughts down about things. In this case, fountain pens, inks, accessories, and occasionally coffee. This blog will give me a space to do this.  Since May 2020 when I bought my first fountain pen and ink, I am still new to this hobby. I am in no way an expert in fountain pens but can share my personal experience as a new user of this amazing hobby. I how to contribute my knowledge as I grow and learn. Yes, it's true. Old dogs can learn new tricks.  If you like what you read, feel
